My childhood

Day 17 of the 30 days of gratitude challenge is my childhood. My childhood was pretty ‘normal’. I lived at home with both my parents and my brother, which isn’t necessarily the norm anymore, so something to be grateful for. We moved around quite a lot, which means that I don’t feel like I have a particular attachment to any one place. Which sounds like a strange thing to be grateful for, but it means I’m able to feel at home anywhere I feel at home. It also means that I don’t get worried about travel- some people struggle to explore different places because they’re so used to their own area. Some of the time I spent in towns or cities, most of it in the countryside. So I learnt how to live quite happily in both.

I really admire people who can settle everywhere. Since I moved to England, I changed houses 5 times when in France I’ve always lived in the same house. I think I will feel at home when we will buy our house (hopefully soon)
